We like to say around here that our Secretary Martha is the most famous person at KJOL. We mean it too! With a naturally likable personality, and an active disposition, a lot of people know her. When we started discussing the upcoming Creation Conference with ICR, she talked to a few of her homeschooling friends, and boom! They put a serious dent in the registrations before we even went on the air!
Because of Martha’s active nature, she has been the one who keeps seeing all the odd things happening at our new bus stop ads in Grand Junction (we have 3). A few weeks ago, I told the story on the air about a recent Sunday afternoon when Martha drove by the Rim-Rock Walmart in Grand Junction, and looked for our ad in front as she went by. She was startled to find a dead body lying right under it! With a sheet over the deceased, and several cops standing around, all parties involved most certainly got a close look at our ad! We started wondering, was the ad for “Local Christian Radio” the last thing this person saw??
Only a few days down the line, we now have a another similar story. Martha was driving by our newest ad by Lincoln Park, when low and behold, she sees ANOTHER body lying on the ground very close by. A wheel chair was tipped over, personal effects were scattered around, and that body was not even flinching. She swung her car back around only to see pedestrians walk right by this person and do absolutely nothing! However, our very own Good Samaritan, Martha, proceeded to call 911…the first call after they had been lying there for some time on a very busy street. The paramedics arrived; and thankfully they were able to revive this person and get them sitting up.
Makes you wonder if God is targeting first responders in Grand Junction! You just never know how God will use something so ordinary for His Kingdom…even an ordinary bus stop ad (I suspect He is up to something with those ads), or a not-so-very-talented guy like myself. He uses ordinary folks like us…even in ways that don’t seem big to us…but they are big to Him (He sees things differently I am convinced). He wants to use you too and has placed you right where He wants you. Are you a willing participant? Ask Jesus to use you today for His Kingdom, that He might Shine the Light of His glory into you and through you. You can do the world a lot of good through His power!

We could use your help this month if you feel so led. Thanks to everyone who did support us!
